OBITUARIES

Bryan Talbott

Bryan Talbott, 30, of Carrollton, Ohio passed away March 25 due to AIDS, leaving loving family and friends.

Bryan is best known in our community for his work with the deaf and his organization of the nation's first conference on AIDS for the deaf community. He attended OSU School for the Deaf and taught sign lan-

guage at Gallaudet Institute.

Bryan starred in a movie called A Better Way, which deals with the subject of teen suicide in the deaf community and has been seen on PBS. He also worked in the congressional office of John Kasich and thought of becoming a veterinarian.

He was active as a Boy Scout, where he became a leader in a hearing world. The outdoors was one of his passions. Having travelled throughout the United States, Bryan loved scuba diving, lighthouses, and the dolphins jumping in Sanibel, Florida. Love of travel earned Bryan the nickname “Gasoline Foot."

Bryan lived life to its fullest and by his own rules. He was a Garfield freak and a passionate fighter for his own health, and for the benefit of others. Family and the many friends Bryan left behind will deeply miss his love, his sense of humor, and his courage—all of which are Bryan's greatest gift to us!
